Dizzy Love

Poetry in Motion

I wrote this poem to cheer up a Facebook pal. She has this amazing cat named Dizzy whom she loves to the moon and back and then to the moon and back again. I’m sure really, the chase between earth and moon is eternal and infinite.

As a result, this poem is dedicated to Dizzy and human companion Amber. I share here, in delight of Dizzy, who cheers a sorrowing heart with delightful purrs and pounces. To you Dizzy! May the love of the divine shine through your effervescent sheen of fur and claws, of mischief and mayhem, of cuteness and purrs and cuddles. Gotta have them cuddles. And may Amber forever know the divine in Dizzy love.

Dizzy Love

A little ray of furry delight
to remind you of the love of light;
In darkness cloudy covering sight
keeping these moments in lovingly "fight"
to overcome thy greying moor
you become love's troubadour!
Casting the bawdy glare of toil,
hugging the likes of life's turmoil,
wrapped up in the embrace of hearts of love,
in a furry face from heaven "above."
Knowing with a wrinkle of doubt,
that in that furry face is love's best clout
casting upon the turbulent sea,
that love's desire-eth to remember me [divine love].
Oh what to great length does love desire,
to remind us all of its loving fire,
to chase away our daily gloom,
with the dizziest purring puddling boom
of sweetness cuddles and furry flight,
to which your heart finds pure delight.
Indeed, in the small is love writ large,
to which you find your heart's supercharge.
Remembering in these little moments,
that divine love's little wink has found bestow-ment
upon your magnified suffering heart
doth love remind you of love’s seaport.
